I bet we all have it, that one product we just swear by and almost have a fear of that one day it will be discontinued! The MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural is mine, here’s why
… well it’s amazing. That’s it, post done – over an out! Just messin’ because i really want to state why i love it and perhaps why you will love it as well.
You can purchase it here from Brown Thomas and retails from around €30 (trust me, it’s worth every penny and will last you for a couple of months at least!)
This is the product description from MAC:
“A luxurious, slow-baked domed face powder with low-level pearlized pigments that provide a dimensional yet natural finish. Can be used to set foundation and to touch-up makeup throughout the day. Features our M·A·C Multi-Mineral Complex and vitamin E“
So… claims and description – accurate or not? My answer is = very accurate!
I have combination skin which means i can get a bit oily in my t-zone throughout the day and the rest of my face can sometimes get a bit dry.
This powder keeps my makeup in place, keeps it matte and does not feel chalky or heavy on my skin. Even though it “mattifys” my skin it’s not like a one dimensional matte finish. No no, far from it. It creates a wonderful natural finish to my skin! I do admit i touch up my makeup after around 4-5 hours of wear in the office, not a lot, just a dab with a brush or a powder puff!
The powder does not get caught in your skin or emphasises any breakouts, dry patches etc you might have on your skin. It blurs the imperfections and i feel it also hides away my pores. My makeup everyday consists of spot concealing and this powder on top of it. It’s a perfect everyday product! Pro tip – you can also use a damp beauty blender to apply it for a bit more coverage.
I dare to say that it suits a variety of skin types and also big plus that it comes in many shades. I’m using the shade Medium and i have light skin with neutral to yellowish undertone.
I’ve lost count on how many times i have repurchased this product and i always buy it from Brown Thomas! The powderpuff shown in the picture is bought separately (comes in pack of 2) and i keep it there mostly to protect the powder from breaking whenever i have it in my bag and also for quick touchups (replace the powderpuff often and clean it!)
What’s the staple in your makeup bag?
